What QuailOS Actually Does on the Farm

QuailOS.com is the farm ops system we built so quail and poultry operators stop losing the week to clipboard math - hatches, flocks, eggs, time, orders, and NPIP in one place.
Most small poultry farms do not fail because they cannot hatch. They fail because the numbers never live in one place. QuailOS.com is the platform we built for that problem - a farm operations system for quail and chicken operators who need the barn and the shop to talk to each other.
About 200 farms are on it today. Operators tend to open it about twice a day: egg counts, hatch schedules, accounting, Shopify orders, flock inventory, and NPIP paperwork. That is not a dashboard for looking busy. That is the work.
What is inside QuailOS
- Hatch tracking. Name the batch, set start, lockdown, and expected hatch. Run staggered weekly hatches without a whiteboard full of crossed-out dates.
- Bird inventory on the cage. Open the flock record from the cage tag. Adjust counts, log losses, keep NPIP notes, and log daily egg production per group. When production trends down, you see it early enough to replace breeders on purpose.
- Time tracking that matches barn life. Tap at the farm entry like a swipe clock. Cleaning, packing, chores - start and stop without hunting a spreadsheet.
- Orders that care about day count. Balut and similar sells need day 12 vs day 14. The platform tracks which customer wants which window.
- NPIP without the copy-paste tax. What used to be a two-to-three minute manual paste becomes a one-click AI worker draft.
- Marketing help for farms that hate marketing. Newsletter generation sits in the stack so farms can stay visible without inventing a second job.
- Beekeeping inspection with voice. Big dictation button for hands-free notes while you are still in gear.
Tap the cage, not the clipboard
Cage cards started as QR. Quail droppings and dust made that a joke. Tap and Track NFC tags are the fix: disk tags for cage fronts, larger cards for side walls, and egg-shaped tags sized for incubator rails (including CT-180 style setups). Tap the phone, the QuailOS app opens, and that tag is already linked to a flock, hatch batch, or incubator slot.
Android is on the Play Store today. iOS is next. Farms already running on QR keep working while NFC rolls out.
How it is priced
There is a free tier to get on the board. Silver is $9/month ($108/year). Gold is $19/month. Fall and winter are when most farms actually have time to sign up - summer they are in the barn.
The real-world lesson is simple: if you cannot see egg production, hatch windows, labor time, and paperwork in one system, you are guessing. QuailOS is the system we use and ship so farms stay in business longer - and so the whole supply chain gets healthier operators, not one more silent failure.
